Public Assistance

Collin County Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Collin County is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles. We put God’s love into action by building homes and communities. We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide. We encourage positive relationships throughout the community by advocating for fair housing policies and providing training to help families improve their shelter conditions.

We enable families throughout Collin County to achieve the dream of homeownership and dignity. Habitat for Humanity of Collin County has built over 228 new homes in Collin County with the support of our community partnerships and volunteers.

Human Trafficking

New Friends New Life

New Friends New Life restores and empowers trafficked and sexually exploited teen girls, women and their children, and drives awareness of the issue and its prevalence.

By providing access to education, job training, interim financial assistance, mental health and spiritual support, New Friends New Life helps women and their children overcome backgrounds of abuse, addiction, poverty and limited opportunities.

Animal Shelters

North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue

NTASR helps Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, and mixes of the two. They are open to working with other working or herding dogs as well depending on the circumstances. Don’t think for a second these two women won’t jump to help a dog in emergent need. Thus far, several other breeds have made their way through the rescue because of their kind and caring hearts including a doodle, a dachshund, a frenchie, and a shar pei. NTASR takes behavioral and medical dogs and gets them the appropriate rehab to be able to find them the perfect forever home. Aussies are such special breeds and deserve very particular and experienced homes.
